What are good muscle cars for cheap?
December 10th, 2009 | by admin |
I am a 16 year old boy that lives in Texas and wanted to buy a 1973 Dodge Challenger, but it is too expensive. What are other good muscle cars fo about : $500 – $5,000.
For 1960s-early 70s era, the classic muscle/ponycar era, you’re not gonna find much under $5k that isn’t a rust bucket or just parts. That’s now a rich man’s game. I’d suggest you check out the 80s-90s Mustangs/Capris & GM F-bodies.
BTW, what would your insurance be for any of the cars you’re interested in anyway? Have you gone online to get a quote yet? Remember that if you finance you’ll need full coverage.

My bro bought an all numbers matching 71 Skylark GS w/ a 455 ci motor. Naturally for $5K it needs help, but it runs. You can get a Skylark custom well under that with a 350 ci easily. I’m not much of a muscle car person, so I’m only referring to what I know. Prices of cars have a direct reflection on condition. Especially muscle cars. No one can say what they are worth so it’s more to the point of "what’s it worth to ya"?
