Cirrus Winery plays the Mellotron Flute #2

On Saturday December 2nd 2006 David and Micke from the Swedish band Cirrus Winery came by the Roth Händle studio. They were given the full tour of the Studio trying out different Mellotron sounds, Chamberlin Rhythmate, Electric sitars, Optigans and Orchestrons.

They have their own Mellotron MKVI built by Markus Resch so it is always interesting to hear and try out new sounds.

Progression of Chemtrails in NH

My own video made in Southern NH 5-7-07. I’ve been observing the skies every day, and suggest you do the same. The more aware you are- the more you happen to notice. I’ve gone out everyday and have seen chemtrails in the sky almost every day! It’s disgusting. Are you tired of those grey or white skies? Well… they’re not all made by nature. Which means they can be stopped. You CAN do something about them.
Some analysis of these chemtrails have allegedly shown traces of Barium, Aluminum and other harmful metals and toxins. There are many reports of illnesses in all areas where chemtrails are…mainly upper respiratory problems, nose bleeds, headaches and dizziness. This is not conspiracy- this has been going on since 1996. This is a GLOBAL issue…not just the US. Do some research and check it out for yourself. Just type in some keywords in your browser- such as chemtrails, persistant contrails, choose any country and do it. Type in ‘Chemtrails in Europe’, or ‘Chemtrails in India’ THEY’RE EVERYWHERE. OUR MILITARY AND GOVERNMENT ARE SICK AND NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!

This Is How They Build ‘Em

We’ve had a ball showing you various aspects of how and why the Cirrus Aircraft SR20s and SR22s became some of the most popular aircraft in recent GA history. But the build process is nearly as fascinating as the airplanes themselves… especially in light of the changes the G3 version of the SR series has undergone in the last two years.

Not only did they redesign the airplane to be better in the air, but to be assembled in a more economical and sturdier fashion. The G3 update was extensive… The Cirrus team went through the bird from stem to stern in this upgrade, with some big changes proving to be more than skin-deep. An aggressive update of the primary wing structure resulted in a stronger and stiffer wing that allowed CD to carve well over 50 pounds out of that assembly — and then they used that leeway to increase the bird’s effective range.

The gear was heavily modified to be a somewhat narrower and taller construct and added some prop clearance, to boot. The gear used to be nearly 11 feet wide… and has been narrowed to just over 8.5 feet. They did this with the same gear legs they’ve used in the past, but mounted in a significantly more acute angle. This change allowed the interior of the wing to be adapted to a number of other modifications, most notably a larger TKS deicing fluid tank, and produced a more efficient internal structure. Internal fuel tankage jumped from 81 gallons to 92 gallons, as well.

A number of aerodynamic refinements have been incorporated…

I thought I would post some of the type of stuff I love to practice on my Peavey Cirrus. Of all the basses I have owned I like this one the best! This clip is just me practicing in my ‘quiet room’. I try to practice everyday if even for only 10min. I really helps when you have an instrument you love to play!

C-GDET, Cirrus SR-20, takes off from a Sand bar on the Thelo

On August 12th. a Cirrus SR-20 (C-GDET, serial 1180, the first imported into Canada) was taking part in the 2007 Great Klondike tour, flying 6000 miles from Toronto to the Yukon and back. Half way between BakerLake and Yellowknife, 220 miles from the nearest settlement /landing strip, it was forced to make an emergency landing out on the barrens. The Pilots, Eric and Tim Harpell did a brilliant job, landing it on a mile long Sand bar on the Thelon River in Canada’s North West Territories. The exact location was N 63-46-91, W 104-15-45 which is 220 nm from CYBL and 282nm from CYZF.

As part owner/pilot of C-GOPX, serial 1188, the second Cirrus imported into Canada, I and seven other planes were flying as a group with GDET when the emergency landing took place. As you can imagine we have been keenly following the recover effort for the last month.
Initially, with the engine oil issue fixed, the soft sand would not allow for a take off. We have flown the cirrus SR-20 from gravel runways and grass, but a sand bar? A variety of ideas were suggested, ranging from putting on oversized tires ( even tundra tires), to using toboggans as skids.

On Sept 11, 2007, with the engine oil issue resolved, and the soft sand frozen solid with an early frost, Bob Ambrose flew it out. No modifications were required. Just goes to show you timing is everything.
